Summer Bucket List

For the past few months we only had one thing on our bucket list – launch a new website. Well, WE DID IT! Now that we’ve proudly checked that off our list, we figured we could make a new bucket list full of fun and exciting summer adventures. We asked around the office what everyone wanted to do to compile the best summer bucket list out there and here’s what we plan on doing for the next few months:

1. Overcome a fear

We’re going to say that launching the new site counts as overcoming a fear. Check it out here.

2. Take a mini road trip

Grab a good group of friends and pick a destination. Nothing is better than road trip conversations, good food and your best friends.

3. Make a sangria snow cone

You can find this delicious recipe here.

4. Watch a sunset

Whether on vacation or in your hometown, there’s not a whole lot that beats watching the sun go down.

5. Drink something out of a fruit

Coconuts, pineapple, watermelon, oh my yummy!

6. Read a new book

Finding a good book is key to relaxing by the pool, in a hammock, on a boat or even during a summer rainstorm. Check out this year’s recommended summer book list.

7. Do something for the community

Research online around your community for places to volunteer.  The animal shelter is our personal favorite, especially Operation Kindness.

8. Spend a day on the beach

Can’t get to the beach? Grab your girlfriends and head to the nearest body of water. Which leads us to…

9. Put glow sticks in a pool and go swimming

Night swim anyone? Count us in!

10. Go stargazing in the back of a pickup truck

Fill the bed of your truck with pillows, blankets and good company.

11. Attend an outdoor concert

Can we go every weekend?

12. Try a new recipe

Trying new recipes is a personal favorite of Blaine’s, especially tacos! Check out the recipe here: BBQ chicken tacos

13. Be spontaneous

Say YES to everything!

14. Donate old clothes

Every summer Blaine makes sure to get rid of clothes she doesn’t use anymore. It’s a great way to help others in your community and make room in your closet!

15. Sip a drink by the pool

No pool day would be complete without a drink! Here’s a recipe for one of Blaine’s favorites.

16. Throw an outdoor party

What better way to enjoy summer than spending a candlelit evening outdoors with friends?

17. Make s’mores by the fire

A summer would not be complete without some sweet s’mores.

18. Have a lazy day in your PJ’s with Netflix and a good book

After going on all of these adventures, you’re going to need some rest. So grab your fur babies, best pajama set and get comfortable. Don’t forget your favorite snacks!

19. Go to a drive-in movie

Research for a drive in theatre around your area – most locations have a two-feature special.  Pass the popcorn, please!

20. Have a spa day

Treat yo’ self girl! Can’t afford to splurge on a big spa day? No worries! Pinterest has great DIY at home treatments.  Call up your best babes and make a day of it.

21. Attend a festival

No matter the age, there is nothing quite like spending a weekend at a festival.  Great music, food, and everyone is there with a passion to be happy! We’ll see all of you at ACL Festival in Austin, TX this fall.

22. Host a wine & cheese night with the girls

Wine? Cheese? Need we say more?! Plus you can check this item off the list over and over again.

23. Join a yoga class

Yoga has numerous benefits for your mind & body. We love to follow @Yogainspiration on Instagram for motivation.

24. Float the river

Floating the river is a great way to cool down in the summer heat!

25. Enjoy yourself!

This is the most important thing for every summer bucket list! Enjoy every single moment because winter is right around the corner.
